Our goal in marketing and communications is to connect our audiences with vibrant content and focus the spotlight on the hard work of MSU student venturers.
As a creative designer, I specialize in creating and following a consistent brand around our content. For example, curating the creation of event design, for startups, as well as informational posters, socials, and registration prints, flyers, and banners. I also led the banner design for Michigan State's annual competition called the Burgess New Venture Challenge (BNVC). I was able to experience an array of design needs from the water infrastructure based startup Motmot, to the nationally recognized Zollipops from Zollicandy.

Merchandise
When designing the merch for over 5,000 students and staff across Michigan State, I found it important to use storytelling to spark creativity.
For example, the shapes in the foreground represent the different skills an entrepreneur needs when starting a venture. The fading wavy pattern in the background represents the 'fray' of those yet to venture out. Altogether with the phrase 'What's your venture?' acts as the tagline sparking curiosity to learn more.
BNVC - Event Design
Burgess New Venture Challenge is Michigan State's premier pitch competition for students at MSU. With that being said, clients (founders) are always in need for designs. Whether print, merchandise, or digital, my role's goal is to visually or physically represent the venture aesthetically and purposefully.
